Web Design Projects
A list of clients that I’ve worked with recently.
P.E.T.S. Boarding Kennel
Project: P.E.T.S. approached me to redesign their website to showcase their doggie daycare and boarding services. We went over all aspects of their business to create a website that is more visually appealing, easier to navigate and provides users with more information for commonly asked questions.
Happy Hills Resort
Project: Created new website with Happy Hills Resort to showcase many images from their campground, retirement village and golf course. Project requirement was that trailer sales and news pages can be easily edited by Happy Hills.
We have received a lot of positive feedback about the new look of our website, the layout and how easy it is to maneuver through.
We highly recommend Jaclyn and know with her knowledge, skill and professionalism you will not be disappointed.
Peak Conditioning Personal & Online Fitness Training
Project: Worked with personal trainers Kate and Sean to create two websites: one to showcase their personal training services and the second for online fitness training. Their online training website features a paid members area where they stream live workouts and upload workout videos.
Essence of Harmony Wellness & Colon Therapy
Project: Created a a logo and website to outline the process of colon hydrotherapy and answer potential questions clients might have before booking their service.
Controlling the Spread of Infection in Huron County Child Care Centres
Project: The Huron County Health Unit approached me for assistance in creating a micro-website based on their printed daycare manual. The tasks were to complete the web design and develop a WordPress website that conforms to current accessibility standards for government websites.
Jaclyn Swinkels is a talented web designer, who just happens to be great to work with. We’ve had the great good fortune to hire Jaclyn to work on two of the Health Unit’s microsites. She has strong web skills, an exceptional eye for detail, and a sound knowledge of website accessibility requirements.
Jaclyn quickly grasps concepts and ideas put forward by her clients, often in layman’s terms, and responds quickly with feasible implementation models. She is an excellent and creative web designer with fresh ideas; her ability to adapt our print content and provide us with clean user-friendly websites was most impressive.
I found Jaclyn to be extremely reliable, and exhibited a willingness to always meet our deadlines. Jaclyn is a savvy designer with a great sense of what the client needs. I’d highly recommend Jaclyn and would welcome the opportunity to work again with her on web projects.
Dean Artists Management
Project: Dean Artists Management asked that I create a contemporary web design that is mobile responsive. Their new website now showcases their artists on the home page and includes media and specific information on each individual artist profile. A requirement was that the website be made in WordPress which has made it easy for their staff to manage frequent changes to content. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dean Artists Management for over 7 years.
Passion for Wood
Project: I’ve had the pleasure of working with Hendrik for over 10 years on his woodworking website. More recently we’ve converted the website to WordPress multi-site to showcase both his woodworking and cooking instruction businesses. In the time we’ve worked together many changes have occurred in the web industry and we’ve worked to keep the website up-to-date technically. The current version has been updated with responsive design so that it works on mobile devices.
Summerview German Shepherds
Project: Worked with Rita to convert her html website to WordPress so website edits could be made without contacting myself. Website was also updated to be mobile friendly and completed an assessment on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to boost the website’s results in search engines.
